Terra Snake This terra cotta tile depicts a very subtle image of a snake. It is burnished and unglased. There is a hairline crack that formed during the firing process, but it shouldn't grow. You can see the crack in the upper image, on the third curve up from the tail. Nevertheless, terra cotta is more fragile than stoneware and should be handled with care. Because it's so earthy and subtle, this is among my favorite tiles so I hesitate to sell it. Still, I offer this at a special discount, due to the crack.
