My name is Virginia and I am very active in the Macrobiotic community in Connecticut. Much of my studying has been on my own by reading many of the macrobiotic books that I have acquired. I have taken many cooking classes and attended many lectures to further expand my interest and understanding of macrobiotics. I also traveled to NY city to attend and graduate from Level 1 course of instruction at Gulliver's Institute.
I am currently assisting an MEA cooking teacher doing cooking classes (having also given my own cooking classes), prepare meals for several who are unable to do so for themselves because of a very busy lifestyle, work very closely with a macrobiotic counselor from the Kushi Institute who comes to CT to give consultations and am affiliated with a medical doctor in the Hartford area who promotes the macrobiotic cooking in his medical practice.
Along with my friend who is the MEA cooking teacher I co-write and produce a newsletter called the Macro-Connection which has a circulation of approximately 500 throughout the state of Connecticut, MA and RI.
